Re: New Security Gatehouse Building

Very nice! I particularly like backlighting in the first image, which is not only dramatic in itself, but nicely highlights the building design.

Question: how did you do the pavers?

Re: 3d Effect

It was lost with several other features in 6.0. I assume such feature losses are related to the change to the physical engine. It would be good to know if there are any plans to restore them. So far, I don't know if I would say that the change to the physical engine is worth the loss of features suc...

Re: Sun + Sky Light balance Atl 6 vs. Atl 6.5 (Shadowstrenght)

Still wondering how one achieves soft shadows in 6.5. I tried ISO, but it doesn't make a difference.

Re: What role will Artlantis play in the future?

It appears to me that Twinmotion is intended more for large context models and Artlantis more for rendering a building with minimal context involved. As noted, they are complimentary. But I think it is a fair question to ask how each might develop in the future relative to each other

Re: Sun + Sky Light balance Atl 6 vs. Atl 6.5 (Shadowstrenght)

I notice the same thing - when sun is set to -100, there are still shadows. You need to adjust ISO settings to lighten scene enough to see them, but they are there, and as well defined as when sun is set to 100. The Sun control seems to only control the brightness of the sun light, and seems to have...

Re: Sun + Sky Light balance Atl 6 vs. Atl 6.5 (Shadowstrenght)

Similar to the soft shadow issue discussed in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=69&t=1420

My testing led to the same conclusion - sun and sky controls do not really control the light from sun and sky - at least, not as expected.

Re: Random Repeat

I think this is a good question. As far as I know, a user can't create such shaders, but I am no expert. I assume the lack of response confirms this. Artlantis does have some non-repeating shaders, such as grass. It would be good to know whether or not a user can modify or create non-repeating shade...

Yes. Define the new heliodon in the Heliodon tab (attached "Heliodon1") and for each perspective view in the Perspective tab, slect the desired heliodon (attached "Heliodon2"). This file has 3 heliodons defined...

Re: "deactivate the heliodon shadow" in artlantis 6.5 not available

I don't know just how am stgt would use it, but I can definitely see a use for rendering a scene with an overcast sky. No shadows would be more realistic that the hard shadows the sun produces in Artlantis. In the real world, the sun creates a whole range of shadows from hard and clear to soft and v...
